The increasing number of acknowledgments achieved by LUM University’s School of Management are mostly due to the vision it developed over years. The vision of companies (“an experience not different from that of a family”), of entrepreneurs (“to give them an opportunity means first of all to represent a perspective that is consistent with reality, not deceiving them but giving them motivation about their future”), of the relationship between companies and territory (“delicate but crucial, a moral and social obligation for entrepreneurs and managers”).
In shaping this vision, the School developed a profound and original knowledge of system and cultural processes, of the values they stem from, of cultural differences and social dynamics, and of the challenges and issues of our communities and territories and therefore of our companies. This heritage has been socialized and enriched with the experience of thousands of entrepreneurs, managers, directors and public servants, young professionals attending every year our School’s classrooms, learning how to act in the logic of relationships and not only of exchange, developing relational skills for the understanding and governance of change, for the negotiation and the interaction with internal and external partners, for the solution of unforeseen technical-economical problems – but also social ones – and for the management of operational and managerial dynamics.
