The Summer School

A lab for innovation and creativity

In the society of Knowledge and Globalization, the drivers moving the world have changed. Individuals have to increasingly invest in Creativity and Innovation in order to hold a leading place in the new scenario.

From abstraction, to production. There is the need to expand the horizon. To confront with “new and useful things”. To imagine the unknown.

To try and get these results, unusual inputs, far from what is already known, are required. Now, more than ever, the future depends on imagination and creativity of human beings. LUM Summer School is a lab for innovation and creativity.

Participants and teachers will dialogue about abstract themes (arts and culture, the future of developing and industrialized countries, Beauty), in order to find very tangible things: strategies, products and services to test in their professional life. We think of these days as a twofold moment: as a moment of thought about modernity, but also as an occasion to spot opportunities and trends. Since 2016, the School of Management has been partner of HEROES, the first Euro-mediterranean Coinnovation Festival that takes place every September in Maratea, and engages the main leaders of enterprises from all over the world, business angels, investors, intellectuals, researchers, policy makers and the best Euro-mediterranean star ups.

The festival lasts 3 very intense days, with meetings and workshops of co-design, and boat trips and relax on the beach with some of the main players of economy and innovation; hackatons to discuss the great themes, but also Keynotes, panels, speeches, workshops, showcases, awards, sport and entertainment. The strategic partnership with Heroes allowed LUM School of Management to test an ideal context of study and exchange, of know-how transfer, and co-design of new solutions focused on Human Resources and new Placement solutions.

What happens during the school?
