The School of Management of LUM University and SUPERSTUDIO ACADEMY have joined together to provide postgraduate students of the Master programme in Arts and Design Management a course focusing on the creation of events management such as the Milan Design Week. The LUM School of Management at one side, with international vocation in providing postgraduate education in management studies and Superstudio Group, the organisation that launched the Design District phenomenon in Milan, at the other side, represent the perfect coenobium for a specialist training on distinctive market niches.
This first-level Master’s degree in Arts and Design Management is entirely taught in English and aims to develop technical-specialist, soft-skills and leadership skills and knowledge for those who aspire to hold positions of greater responsibility or to work as consultants or entrepreneurs in the sector of arts, design and culture.
For the module on “EBusiness Model Innovation”, Superstudio shares top professionals, executives and trainers with a long-standing expertise in the field of events, fashion, design, art, communication as well as its unique and international prestige. Throughout the course, students will be involved in the Superdesign project at Superstudio Più and will be accompanied to the labour market with the necessary cultural, technical and technological tools.
Lectures and seminars will take learners to the heart of the most iconic event of the Fuorisalone that in 2020 launched the complementary event of Salone del Mobile in Rho of Design Districts in the city. At this occasion, students will have the chance to meet field specialists such as architects, designers, journalists, artists and guest speakers under the guidance of Gisella Borioli.
An important institutional guest speaker in this Master course will be the Councillor for Fashion and Design of the Municipality of Milan Alessia Cappello. She will go through the process of planning and preparing the city of Milan for Milan Design Week 2023.
The Master course takes place in the premises of LUM University in Milan, located in Villa Clerici, via Giovanni Terruggia 8/14, Milan 20162. However, this specific module in “Business Model Innovation” will be delivered in collaboration with SUPERSTUDIO ACADEMY and will take place at Superstudio Più, via Tortona 27, Milan 20144.
Lectures provided by Superstudio are scheduled from the 9th of February up until the 27th of April, hence, during the Milan Design Week. Selected students will have the opportunity to have an internship experience at Superstudio helping the team for the Superstudio Show, one of the main events of Milan Design Week.
